Stop your gas cooker from breaking down, or repair your gas cooker.

Figure 1 is wrong
Figure 2 is right

As in figure 1, all drippings, fat, crumbs, bits..... will fall directly on the burner ( in the oven ). Over time burner will get blocked. You will need a new burner or a repair costing easily around £100 pounds. Worse you will need a new cooker.
Always place food in oven as in figure 2. As in this picture anything dropping from food can be easily cleaned up because food/bits have fallen on the base of oven, not onto the flame / burner.
