All of our logs are fully seasoned for at least one year. Some are even two to three years. The logs are stored outside in direct sunlight and wind throughout the year and then split and kept under shelter for two to three months prior to sale. This we find is the best way to dry them out naturally ready for burning. They are delivered on a transit tipper with an open back so cannot guarantee total dryness when the weather turns bad. However, if they get wet during delivery this is just surface moisture and will soon dry out within a few days again. The log sizes vary but we try to keep them all around 6"-9" in length or as near as possible to suit most log burners. We test the logs for moisture content at random and try to keep them all around 20-40% to ensure they burn well.
