For sale is my Trek Pilot 1.2 road bike. This light and fast bike is ready to ride - simply adjust the saddle to your desired height and off you go

It is in very good condition and I have to say that this is a real pleasure to ride. It has an XL sized light aluminium frame and carbon forks and unlike some bikes can be used for ordinary riding, touring, commuting or as a winter trainer as it has all of the holes needed for attaching a carrier and / or a set of full length mudguards. It also has clearance for wider tyres if required too.

The gears shift very smoothly indeed which is nothing short of what would be expected from Shimano components and the wheels, which feature Shimano Tiagra hubs spin free and true!

If I were to describe this bike in one word it would be 'versatile'. It is comfortable yet the frame is light & stiff, making it feel as if each watt of energy that you expend is going into propelling the bike forwards!

No matter how great a bike is, it's no use if you are too tall to ride it. This bike has an XL frame which is recommended for riders from around 5ft 10 upwards. As pictured it is set up for a 6ft 4 rider.

If you're planning on upgrading from a modern entry - level bike, the Trek Pilot 1.2 will be lighter, quicker, of much higher specification and will probably see you slashing your previous best times.

Please take the time to have a good look at the photos - this isn't the usual used bike that you see advertised online. The frame and forks are almost like new and the bike includes the Trek cycling computer which measures (amongst other things) speed and cadence (pedalling speed).

Grab a bargain as it won't stick around for long!
