This delightful painting in oils depicts a steam locomotive crossing over a canal bridge while a bargee waits patiently with his horse for the barge to drift up to him.

It is painted in the style of the traditional art seen on many of the canal barges around the UK canal network.

The painting was commissioned by my father back in 1994 from locally acclaimed Halesowen artist Ken G. White,
