130000 miles hpi check when I bought car shows mileage to be genuine and also shows car has never been a write off which is amazing for a 30 year old car. V5 present. Lots of history, receipts, mot until october.
I have used this as my daily driver for the past 12 months and it has always been the most reliable classic car I have owned. I have replaced every part that could cause an issue before it has, including cambelt and tensioner, water pump, fuel pump, Weber 32/34 dmtl replacement carb, metal water pipe, rocker cover gasket, clutch, brakes all round including handbrake cables, oil, plugs and filters changed every couple of months regardless of miles, cooling system flushed and new anti freeze about 6 weeks ago, exhaust system replaced for a new standard system 6 months ago.
Modifications include - smoked crosshair headlights, smoked indicators, coilovers, rear camber shims - 1.5 degree negative camber and banded steel wheels 15 x 8 front and 15 x 9 rear with stretched tyres all with plenty of tread. The car is extremely low, it can be raised as it has coilovers but as it is it has a perfect stance which gets a lot of comments.
Underneath the car is solid as it has been well protected with underbody Schultz and waxoyl. The car is 30 years old and although is extremely good for its age there are a few small chips, a small bubbled up piece of paint on the boot and a couple of small dinks. The previous owner replaced the front seats which are not the same as the rears but this has never bothered me as I planned on putting a roll cage in so I took them out, I have now reinstalled the back seats for the new owner. Overall for 30 years old it is excellent and gets a lot of attention. It is an ideal daily useable car and a lot of fun to own and drive.
I'm not looking for part exchange as I have a mk1 golf so sale only and I don't accept cheques or bankers drafts, cash only. I'm asking £2100 or very nearest offer, I know its worth a lot more than this so I won't accept a ridiculous offer for an appreciating classic VW
