Fender 212R guitar amplifier with 100W output thro' 2 x 12 inch speakers complete with Fender footswitch but needing attention.
Outwardly this amp looks in excellent clean condition with no missing knobs, physical damage etc.
The problem is that the 'clean' channel does not sound clean but sounds 'dirty' as though it is in 'drive' mode.
The 'drive' and 'more drive' channels seem to be OK but may also be affected. No problems with volume.
Online search shows that this problem is not uncommon with this particular amp and that, given the time, inclination and ability, repair is possible (but not guaranteed !).
Anyone willing to have a go ? Will arrange demo to any serious buyer. Good models can go for £100 - 200.
